Christian worship songs are one of the best things on Earth. They are perfect for when you just want to worship, when you need inspiration and even as background music to keep your home or work space sane.
These is a list of my current favourite songs in no particular order.
Amen by Salvation Ministries Choir
Amen is a song glorifying the lamb of God who saved us all from sin. The Alpha and Omega who reigns forevermore. The highlight of this song is the declaration by God’s servant David Ibiyeomie with my favourite part being “the time for the world to celebrate you has come…… the supply will be waiting before the need arises…” I usually get a lot of inspiration when I play this song on repeat.
Air I breathe by Jerry K
Air I breathe is a song of acknowledgement of God’s goodness and Him being our source of life.
The Chorus; You are the balm of Gilead; You’re the rose of Sharon; You’re my peace in the midst of the storm; You’re the air I breathe, o Lord you are.. Gives a form of calmness even to a troubled heart. I recommend you listen to this song right away.
Akamdinelu by Mercy Chinwo
Mercy Chinwo doesn’t ever fail to come through with her songs. She’s one of my favourite Nigerian Gospel artistes. Akamdinelu means my hands are lifted. It’s a song of total surrender and thanksgiving to God.
Realizing how incomplete we are without Him and that there’s no me (in this case us) without Him (God). God always stands by us, holds our hands and never let’s us down. Akamdinelu is worth listening to.
Reckless love by Cory Asbury
Reckless love describes how much God loves us. I didn’t understand the lyrics until I listened of couple of times.
God’s love is overwhelming and never ending. It was termed reckless by the singer because who leaves 99 saved for 1 unsaved?! That alone is such a huge risk but God took that risk anyway. In the eyes of man that love was reckless! But God’s love still chases us until it finds us! How amazing?! If you do not have Reckless love on your playlist, then you should add it asap!
Victor’s Crown – Darlene Zschech
Jesus overcame death, He finished the work on the cross, the grave could not hold him down! How glorious!! He can never be defeated, He wears the Victor’s Crown. Hallelujah!
With the power Jesus posseses which we are now a partaker of, we believe that every high thing must come down and every chain holding us and our oved ones bound shall be broken.
I loved this song the moment my Church choir rendered it. I had to go search for it! It’s a song I’ll recommend to everyone who believes in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
Which of these songs will you add first to your playlist? Which do you have already?
And of course I write all my blog posts with love. Thank you for reading and don’t forget to share! See you in the next post.
